Shows galore

On Friday, Sept. 23rd, I took the day off to hang out with the band. Shades of Brown first played at Thanksgiving Point's Harvest Festival. Yay for friends who work there. Natalie hooked us up with free water (it was toasty in the sun) and free lunch. Thanks, Nat!

After the band performed, we sat down to listen to the next group while we had some lunch. Then it was up to Salt Lake to a new Fin & Norah's location to be the entertainment for the evening.

The diners seemed to really enjoy Shades of Brown, particularly one lady who LOVES Fin & Norah's. She was so excited over every song and praised the band like crazy. It's fun to have some good audience participation :) Eventually, it got too cold to dine outside, so the band packed up a little early and we headed home.
(BTW, I was only going to post Silver Spoon from the Thanksgiving Point gig, but I ended up having to stick the vids on YouTube when they didn't compress enough to load straight to Blogger - so enjoy the extra two vids!)

Tan, Taupe, Chocolate

I already have a post called Shades of Brown, so instead, I thought I'd list a few of those shades for the title ;) As you can guess, this little post is going to be about recent band activity.

On the 17th, the band did another performance at the Shops at Riverwoods. The band has a canine fan club. We took Mocha. Spencer and Katie took Alba, and Spencer's parents brought Lolly. Mocha did really well with the other dogs, until Alba decided to box her face.... then they weren't so much friends. However, Katie quickly became Mocha's new favorite friend when she shared Alba's treats :)

Unfortunately, I was busy watching Mocha and didn't really take pics of the band.... and the ones I did were super blurry... :\ It was fun being able to take Mocha, though. We had stopped at Petco on our way, so she even had a new toy to play with when she got bored :)
