Oh, my Henlie

Some more fun photos.

We found a doll blanket from my childhood and wrapped one of Henlie's dolls in it :)

She makes a good little mommy :)

She was tired watching TV one day and laid down next to the couch :)

Henlie's first mostly full ponytail.  It's almost there :)

Mickey "Mouse" is right up there with "Pi'let" since she found him in the toys.
Yes, she calls them Mouse and Pi'let :)

She let them have a nice sit down.

 Waiting at the vet's office.

Reading one of the pamphlets at the vet's.  She loves to look through all of the "cooks" there.

Another thing I want to mention so I don't forget.  Henlie likes to point out body parts on her toys - ears, nose, toes, eyes.  She also likes to point out their "moons."  All of the eyebrows look like moon slivers, so that's what she calls them. :)

Speaking of toes - she loves toes.  She loves the kitties' toes and the puppy's toes.  They aren't such fans of her fascination, though :)

We sure love our little girl :)

Cars and Yogurt

I love Saturdays.  Saturdays are when we usually are all home and can do fun things together.  Saturday, May 17th, we went to the UVU Car Show at Thanksgiving Point with Jason, Camile, and Charlie.  It was fun, especially because we don't see them as often as we used to.

Henlie test driving Daddy's car while we wait for Jason, Camile, and Charlie.

Apparently it's a must to change the radio station while driving as well.

The AAA tent was giving away free otter pops.  It was hot, so we thought it was a good idea.
These are the only photos I have from the car show....no cars haha

Cute little girls in hats

Getting a little push start from Camile.

She really was able to push her a little ways after that!

After the car show, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Hadfield's to pick up Jennifer so she could babysit for us while Matt and I went to an RSL game (we won!).  Jason and Camile also stopped there so Charlie could use their restroom.  We had fun chatting and seeing more family, and the girls enjoyed playing and eating yogurt.

One happy little girl.

Here are some fun recent pics that don't have much to do with anything to warrant their own post, but I wanted to share them with you anyway :)

This is how we watched George one day.
Or, as Henlie calls it, "ee ee hat" :)

She found a shady spot to sit on the playground.

Hanging out with our neighbor, Kymber.

Chillin' on the elliptical while Mommy exercises.

Snuggling with our new kitty, Munchkin.  She also learned how to climb up our footboard this day :)

I actually did full makeup one day :)
This day, I got my photo taken to renew my passport.  That's why my bangs are pinned back.

Henlie's first french braid.  Unfortunately, she pulled it out the last few minutes of sacrament meeting.

Mother's Day 2014

Posted by Amber

I had a pretty perfect mother's day.

Matt and Henlie made me breakfast.

She loves to stir things.

She even helps clean up her spills :)

Breakfast!

We went to church where the youth spoke, I helped lead the primary kids in Love is Spoken Here, and the bishop's daughter played a lovely piano solo.  I had sharing time, and it filled the time perfectly.  At the end of church, the youth brought around flowers for all of the women.  They ended up having extras, so I took home two.  Henlie colored a card in nursery, but she didn't want to give it to me.  I had to wait until she finally was down for a nap (took forever!) to see it.

My flowers and the front of Henlie's card.

Her hand traced on the back :)

After she finally woke up, we went to Matt's parents' for dinner.  Everyone was over for mother's day, and we got to see John and Lynell.  She is always so thoughtful.  Lynell gifted us chocolates and a book.  (The chocolates are super nummy!)  We also video chatted with Curtis, Jackie, and Christopher.  He's already walking around assisted!  I'm so excited to see Jackie and Chris this summer!  And Curtis - but he's not going to be here until the end of summer :)

 Henlie loves to read "cooks"

Mocha getting some loves from Michelle

Henlie had another rough night with going to bed (ugh), so after I did some laundry and fed the animals, I went back into her room.  We called Gloria and left her a message.  Poor Henlie still didn't go to bed for a long time.  Fortunately, she's asleep now! haha

The best thing about being a mommy? Baby hugs.  And giggles.  Those are pretty darn cute, too.

Busy Saturday

We started our Saturday with the Ward Swap Meet.  We got rid of some extra stuff and didn't bring any new stuff home.  Win!

On the way to the church, I'd called Petco to see if they could get Mocha in for a grooming session.  So after we left the church, we hung out for a few minutes and then took the puppy to Orem.  She was in desperate need of a haircut.  We then got some lunch across the parking lot at Wallaby's.  Good food, but so much of it!  We all enjoyed the pomegranate lemonade, though :)

haha - I love this action shot!

After lunch, we headed to Salt Lake City to the City Creek Center because Matt had a hair appointment with Darron at Lunatic Fringe.  We had some extra time, so we wandered around a little.  Matt wouldn't let me go to Tiffany & Co. :)  We did walk around H&M, though.  The prices were good, but nothing my style.

After Matt's appointment, we walked over to temple square for a little bit.

 I loved those orange flowers.

 Matt's new hairs

Trying to sniff the flowers :)

 Henlie checking out the temple.

We made it back to Orem to pick up Mocha from Petco and made it home.  They gave her a fun hair accessory.

 hahaha that face :)

 And this one :D

 Pretty puppy :)

It was a fun Saturday spending time together as a family :)

Bonus Henlie pic - playing with Daddy's hat!
