**EDIT** Hi ya'll - guess what, I haven't died. I also had some partial posts. So now Andrew is almost 3....I'm mostly just gonna slap some pictures on here and forget about writing more. We are sooo behind ;)

You know, Walmart has some decent party supplies. I got a cute rainbow garland there for Henlie's second birthday, and then we found some awesome decor to go with Andrew's vintage space themed party. It makes me happy. But first, the invitation!

Okay, so Andrew's party theme was inspired by Owl City's song Alligator Sky. The video is whimsical with very vintage space influences. When I was pregnant with Henlie, I wanted this to be the theme if I had a boy. Well, she wasn't, but my hopes didn't change when Andrew came around :) 

We had a small Valentine's party on Sunday, February 7th. We were originally going to have a birthday party for Matt's uncle, Shawn, earlier, but Grandpa Hadfield was in the hospital after having a heart attack, so the party was postponed and turned into a V-day party instead. This is another, there-are-too-many-pictures-to-put-in-a-Little-Tidbits post. So.....here they are :)

We celebrated the beginning of 2016 with the Hadfield side of the family by eating yummy soups and playing in the snow.

December 26th was the Covalt Christmas party. We reserved the condo clubhouse at got things set up for some dinner. Grandma bought pizza, so we ate some yummy pizza and cheese sticks for dinner while chatting with the family. 

Sharon brought a piñata, but the only kids were Henlie and McKade haha. Grandma Covalt took a couple swings at it as well. They finally got it open, and with a little help from Sharon.  


Darryl and Kris Ann brought a whole bunch of fun-taped PVC pipes. Turns out they make a fun group game!


Again, it was another successful party getting to spend time with family :)

The Erdmann side doesn't get together for Christmas anymore. (It causes Grandma too much stress, and we are a very large family now, so it's hard lining up places and schedules.) This meant we had to make a separate trip to see Grandma and Grandpa Erdmann to give them their Christmas gift. Lucky for us, Grandma and Grandpa Wilson live practically around the corner now, so we headed to Mapleton early to see the Erdmanns for a bit before heading to the Wilsons.

We actually arrived at the Wilson party a little late. Typically that side of the family is notorious for late starts, but it seems they started fairly close to on time. I was impressed. We walked in in time for some dinner and to grab a couple pass-along gifts before opening time came.


After dinner and pass-alongs, we had our program. Henlie sang Jingle Bells (with some help from Mom). Then it was Christmas carols before my reading of the Luke 2 story and Silent Night. This year, instead of Grandma's big scriptures and a flashlight, I remembered I had technology and pulled it up on my phone. Backlighting for the win! ;)

Then it is time for presents! Andrew skipped his turn since he was napping (we go youngest to oldest). I went a little bit mama bear on everyone because there was lots of noise and talking. The whole point of turn-taking is so everyone can watch and see what everyone else got... besides, less noise makes it more enjoyable anyway ;)


After presents, it was time to gather our things, change into our Christmas jammies, and head home to bed :)

My Dad made breakfast of French toast and bacon. My Dad makes awesome breakfasts. They make me happy. Also, I love the toast at their house. So yummy! 

Matt helped Mari and Ryan move some stuff and then unload the rest of their truck at their storage shed. That afternoon, we went to Furniture Row to look at couches, dining sets, and kids' beds. We found a potential couch and table, but no kid bed. 


We also had family over for cake for Henlie's birthday. Henlie has sort of enjoyed a "birthday month" between festivities at El Hornero a couple of days before, birthday wishes on her birthday, a present from Grandma Biggs the day after, presents from Mom and Dad after her birthday back in the US, cake here the weekend after her birthday, and singing and a present from Aunt Lynell the weekend after that. I think she has rather enjoyed it. 

Other than that, we had a fairly relaxing day until we went to the store after putting Andrew down. Andrew didn't stay asleep, poor guy. My other sisters made it over later too, so we let Henlie stay up and play while we all hung out. It was so nice to hang out with family.

Other thankful bonuses:
Super yummy dinner. The meatballs were really good :)

Aunt Joanie was there for Time Out for Women. Bonus family!

We got to visit with Uncle Nolan in the morning for a bit. This was an extra blessing as he has since been hospitalized after having multiple strokes.

Our ward had a Halloween party/culture night on Friday, October 30th. Apparently this combination happened accidentally a year or two ago, and now it's a thing.

We actually got there right on time, which was impressive because we live in San Isidro, and also, the traffic on Javier Prado was especially bad. However, on time in Peru = very early lol We wandered around and watched people set up. The Adams girls also brought their cuys (guinea pigs), so we got to see them and Henlie got to pet one.





The party got started around 7pm with a little trick-or-treating at various classrooms in the church. It was nicer than previous trunk-or-treats because that limits it to people with cars...and people who can afford/find candy. Apparently the ward also had some budget for candy, which helped offset costs.



After trick-or-treating, it was a lot of sitting around waiting for everyone to finish....and then waiting for the culture night part of the party to start. I talked Andrés into coming in, and then I felt bad because it still took forever to start. And while there were some samplers of food, we didn't stay and get any because we had sleepy babies.


Culture night had some cool stuff, though. I mean, those who just talked about the various countries weren't exciting since I don't understand Spanish, but Peru and Colombia had some dances. A couple people sang songs. I guess the idea was to get a representation of the different countries represented in our ward. Don't be confused, it wasn't related to Halloween, just a general culture overview :)


Since we left early and were hungry, we stopped at the McDonald's drive-through on our way home. Henlie got the cutest Happy Meal box with the cutest, tiniest fry holder you ever did see. They had two available toys, and they let her pick, car or guitar. She picked the car. Matt was proud because technically the car was the "boy" toy. (The guitar was pink and played the Barbie theme.)



I got chicken nuggets. Not nearly as yummy as my last McD's experience, but what do you expect from nuggets, I guess. I did get an Oreo McFlurry, and that was rather tasty :) After dinner and a piece of Halloween candy, it was time for bed.
