We've had a fun-filled June so far! Thursday, June 5th, Henlie and I went to Springville to play with Charlie and Camile. We were going to go to the splash pad, but ended up just hanging out in their backyard with the water table, kiddie pool, and swing set. Perfect day :)
Once Camile filled the pool and put the slide in, I helped Henlie go down the slide....but the water was COLD and she wasn't too happy about that. Then the girls decided most of the water needed to be relocated from the water table to the pool....or the grass, but not the patch of grass that really needed it :)
They get along quite well. They're both learning to share a little, so that's good. Not that the day wasn't without its fits.
The girlies loved swinging and going down the slide of the swing set, too. Henlie even learned how to climb up to the slide on her own.
After the swing set, it was time for a yummy, sticky, popsicle treat. Henlie and I shared one, which was a good call. After popsicles, we sent them back into the pool to wash off :)
Eventually, the girls were done with the water. They played some more at the swing set, and then just hanging out while Camile and I chatted. The cutest moment (and there were a few cute ones, trust me), was when they'd hug each other, then topple to the ground giggling. And then do it again. And again. And again. They love each other :)
We had a really fun day playing. I'm glad our girls are good cousin friends, and I love getting to hang out with my sister-in-law! (Okay, not just Camile, all of you, but I only hung out with Camile this day - we could all work on being more social ;))
My Google+ has starting automatically making little digital scrapbooks along with their automatic editing. So, for lack of a better title, I stole the title off of the book they made me :)
Tuesday, June 3rd, we decided to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's house. Mostly I wanted to talk to Koreen about her honey. Grandma was going in for surgery the next day, so Elisabeth was over to help out if they needed. I heart my cousin, Elisabeth :)

Koreen also took Henlie outside to color with sidewalk chalk. Henlie loves to color. I think that was her first time using sidewalk chalk, though. She had a grand time.
We had fun visiting and hanging out. And Henlie loves farms :)
In other exciting news, Henlie went pee in the potty today! Yay!
We've introduced the potty a lot for awhile. Just this past week she has been pretty good about saying "potty," but it was after she had gone in her diaper. It was still an improvement. For awhile, she will want to sit on the potty, but I think it's just because we sit and sing songs....we go through our whole repertoire before she's ready to get down.
Today, we took a shower, and I was getting ready while she was still in the tub. She told me "potty" and was sort of acting like she really might have to go. I walked her to the other bathroom where her seat is, sat her down, and went back to getting ready. I checked on her a minute later, and she was going in the potty! She thought it was great how excited I was for her. She also enjoyed getting to actually flush the toilet and, as always, washing her hands and drying them with the towel.
It was the only time she has gone on the potty, but once is better than never! haha Maybe we'll have some more success tomorrow. Or maybe not. At least she is definitely showing some signs of readiness now :) What a nice present for her 19 month birthday today!
On Thursday, May 29th, we had Camile and Charlie over to go swimming in the pool at our clubhouse. It has pretty much been a year since we've done this (even though the pool is indoors. I hate walking to and from in the cold, though!) Both girls were more hesitant than the last time, and poor Charlie was so cold! We eventually got her into the pool, and the girls had lots of fun splashing and bouncing. Hopefully we have more swim dates this summer!
