Little Tidbits - Part 5

Posted by Amber

Sorry for the overload this part - I went through ALL of October....

My parents came up for Henlie's birthday party and stayed the weekend.
Giving Grandma Glory hugs on 10 05 14

10 05 14 - She got Grandpa John to read to her.
10 05 14 - Getting Grandma Carrie to read to her.

10 06 14  - Got Grandma Glory to read to her.

10 06 14 - Then Grandpa John had to read it.  She maybe likes books a little bit :)

10 09 14 - Jason and Camile had family over for dinner.  These two love playing with each other, a whole lot.

10 13 14 - Shawn and Roxanne had us over for dinner.  NeCole and her boyfriend were also there.  Henlie loved Josh (at least, I'm pretty sure that's his name...)  He had blown up a TON of balloons blocking the way to NeCole's bedroom door, and they had lots of fun playing in them.

10 14 14 - Henlie digging into the popcorn with the neighborhood boys.
1 girl and 6 boys.
Also, she is totally a Hadfield.  Popcorn is a staple in that family :)

10 16 14 - Lincoln is helping give Henlie a push.

10 18 14 - We ran lots of errands up north this Saturday, including getting Mocha a bath and haircut.  We still had a few minutes before Mocha would be done, so we stopped at Scera Park to play.

10 18 14 - We went down the double slide together.

10 19 14 - Annsley shared her coloring book and crayons with Henlie at church.

10 19 14 - Matt was on campaign in Peru, so we had to video call.  Here, Henlie and Matt are pulling faces at each other :)

10 19 14 - Grandma Carrie reading to Henlie and Charlie.

10 20 14 - Henlie showing off her Jack-O-Lantern that Grandma Carrie colored for her.

10 22 14 - My sister's family stopped by on their way home from a track meet.
Makayla, Lexie, Lainee, Me, Henlie, and Greg

10 23 14 - Watching Grandpa Larry put the handle on Grandma's new screen door.

10 24 14 - Henlie's stickers after getting her Typhoid and Flu shots at the County Health Clinic.

10 24 14 - Matt and me pulling faces during a video call.

10 24 14 - Matt and Henlie on the video call.

 10 24 14 - Swinging with Grandpa Larry

10 24 14 - I dragged her around the floor on that blanket, and then we hung out picnic style :)

10 24 14 - Reading Clifford and playing with Clifford with Grandma Carrie.

10 24 14 - Another video call with Matt later that night :)

10 25 14 - We went to the park.  Actually, we went to Taco Time and then picnic'd in the park.  We also so the elders there and chatted with them for a bit.  They were taking a few minutes before they had to head over to a baptism.
This cute little girl helped Henlie learn how to climb up on the horse by herself.  Turns out her mom and I were in young women's together back in the day.

10 25 14 - Then later, I got on the other horse with her :)

10 25 14 - Swinging!

10 27 14 - Getting close to our moving date, we took a picture with the office staff at Dr. King's.  Mostly, they were all in purple :)
Leslie, Chelsea, Kathryn, and Henlie.
Since they were all squatting, she had to squat :)

10 28 14 - Henlie was hanging out at Grandma Carrie's, and they played in the leaves :)

 10 28 14

10 30 14 - Henlie was playing with the boxes.  I asked her what she was doing, and she replied, "I packing.  Putting things away."  Guess what she had heard of a lot of? lol

 10 31 14 - I found her in her doll crib.

10 31 14 - She picked some green teeth as her prize at the chiropractor's office :)

A Daniel Tiger Birthday Party

Posted by Amber

Considering we're moving at the beginning of November, we moved Henlie's second birthday party up a month to October 4th.  Considering it was Conference weekend, we set her party for 4:30pm, to hopefully give people time to hop in the car and make it down after the afternoon session, but still get done in time for Priesthood session.

I'm really happy with how her party turned out.  For not going as all out as I was going to before we found out we were moving, it turned out super cute!  My aunt Koreen made her an awesome birthday cake.  Everyone was impressed, as they should have been :)  Koreen sent the cake with Granny and Grumpy since she and my uncle Steven were going hunting.

She did white cake with a berry filling.  I knew some people wouldn't want the filling, so I also made chocolate cupcakes.  I found some freebie cupcake toppers that I printed and cut out.  And we found some great sprinkles at Walmart the day before on our party supply trip :)

I also made water bottle labels that turned out super cute.  They were really simple.  Those couple of details really helped tie the food into the theme.  Loved it!

 The spread.
When buying the ice cream, I found the individual cups.
Since we were doing this in the clubhouse, I thought, what better way to buy and serve ice cream?!?
It was great :)

The orange plates were from a Halloween party years ago.  They worked well with the scheme, and then we had more plates if we needed them :)

On that same Walmart trip, I got some red forks and plates, balloons, and I found a cheap paper garland.  It was longer than I thought it would be, and it turned out super cute!  It was a great $1.50 investment :)

I also printed out Daniel Tiger coloring pages and brought Henlie's crayons so the kids could color :)
And the purple tablecloth is from her party last year ;)

Charlie and Henlie coloring some Daniel Tiger pages.

We finally got started around 5pm.  We sang Happy Birthday to Henlie and then she blew out her candle.  We had cake and ice cream before opening presents.

GG Erdmann is checking out Natalie's youngest, Dot.

Daddy is a good sharer :)
She got some great stuff, and some things that will work out great in her carry-on!  She had so much fun with everything Daniel Tiger.  And, of course, she loved showing off and being a crazy with everyone there :)

 Coloring book from Aunt Lynell.

 And treats!

She knew the important part of the card haha.

Opening presents!
She got a squishy pig ball from Aunt Lynell that she has been loving playing with.  She has also played with her baby Elsa doll from Great Grandma Christiansen.  She loves pushing the buttons on the Elmo Potty book we got her (that will not be going in the carry-on lol).  She loves her own Tigey that my dear cousin Natalie made for her.  (Natalie is a fabulous seamstress!)  It was a toss-up which to snuggle with when she went to bed that night, Tigey or Piglet.  She got lots of great books, and for unknown reasons, she decided she needed to take them to Great Grandma Erdmann to read them.  Grandma is very animated, so she kept taking the books there to have them read to her.  She loves books. :)

 TIGEY!

 She loves him.

 Reading a card...with Tigey :)

Opening presents from Grandma Biggs and fam.

Great Grandma Erdmann, will you read me a story?

Thank you Devan and Kayla for my Daniel Tiger!

Grandma, I got another book!
The best present was the last one, though.  I spent some time during Conference making it.  We made sure everyone was watching the last present be opened.

It was.....

a shirt!

 haha her face :)

It says, "I am being promoted to Big Sister!"  It was a fun way to announce that we're expecting baby #2 around May next year. :)  Fun times.

After that, it was time to clean up, give hugs, and go home and turn on the Priesthood session of conference.
