Santa arrived rather late to our house, but still before anyone really woke up. Thanks to last year's uber broke Christmas, our Christmas remained rather downsized this year - which was super nice.
Presents!
Stockings! Mom's was too heavy to face outward... I'm also glad Santa was able to find individual cereals this year. It's a tradition from my family - although then we got the little boxes instead.
Also, that Baby's First Christmas stocking was mine from when I was a babe :)
I wanted Henlie to get something on her first Christmas, but at only 1.5 months old, she's not really into toys. She doesn't really need new clothes at this point either. She did get a couple of things though, both traditions that I want to do with her - an item for her hope chest (she'll also get one at each birthday, so by the time she's ready to move out, she should be well set) and a Christmas ornament. By the time she is 18, she should end up with 36 (Grandma Erdmann has the same tradition for her grandkids apparently :))

As for me and Matt - Matt got me the Stig's book. Matt got much needed clothes (a new white shirt and some black dress socks), a model motorcycle, and a drumset ornament. We also got a new set of sheets, also desparately needed. Our one set had holes, and then the flat sheet of another set got a nice rip thanks to one of our clawed friends.

Since Curtis and Jackie were with her family in the morning, we did sibling gifts and lunch at 3pm at Matt's parents' house. We went over earlier though and had yummy carmel cinnamon rolls (our favorite!). We hung out and checked out the new goodies. Then we got to eat and open presents! We are always spoiled by Matt's parents. However, I think Henlie and Charlie were even more spoiled!

As always, we had a wonderful Christmas. Now I look forward to the years to come and watching Henlie get excited in anticipation and watching her open presents! Kids make holidays even more exciting and fun :)
